Does Dupes work with rekordbox or Traktor?+
Dupes currently supports Serato DJ Pro only. We read the Serato library database directly to find your tracks and crate assignments. Rekordbox and Traktor support is on the roadmap.
Does Dupes upload my music files?+
No. All scanning and comparison happens locally on your Mac. Your files never leave your computer.
What happens when I resolve a duplicate?+
You choose per cluster: archive the duplicate to a folder, move it to trash, or skip it. When a duplicate is removed, Dupes also cleans up Serato crate references so your library stays consistent.
How does cross-format detection work?+
Dupes compares tracks across MP3, WAV, FLAC, and AIFF by analyzing up to 10 metadata fields including title, artist, BPM, bitrate, and file size. Two files in different formats with matching metadata are flagged as potential duplicates.
Why is there a 2-Mac activation limit?+
Each license supports 2 personal Macs so you can use Dupes on both a studio machine and a laptop. If you need more activations, contact support@cfloinc.com.
